A Necromunda Terrain Retrospective, Part 1

Sit back and let me tell you a tale....

Wwwaaaaayyyy back in 2007, before I started Empire of Ghosts, I decided to get back into gaming after a nearly 10 year hiatus with the same game that got me into gaming in the first place, Necromunda. I still had many of the miniatures and all of the plastic bulkheads I had amassed before I stopped playing, but none of the cardboard cutouts to make them into buildings.

Because I was starting a community gaming group, I needed to build terrain that was both easy to transport but also sturdy enough to stand up to the storage, transport, and gameplay of weekly sessions....and these are the designs that came out of it. Many of these pieces never made it past the initial building stage, several broke in transit or storage, and I'll show you all the remainder in the weeks ahead after my current terran pieces are finished and added.

The "rickety" watchtower that was removed shortly after building it in. Just too fragile...

The billboard that replaced the watchtower

I loved your blog and your work. Great use of the necromundabulkheads and the GW-building tiles! Everyone makes ruins and gothic churches, it's really nice to see some whole buildings. Great job
