Inspiration: Antarctica's Ice-Free Valleys

I stumbled across a blog article earlier today that blew my mind. Apparently, Antarctica has an area called the McMurdo Dry Valleys, the largest ice-free area on the subcontinent. The valleys cover an area of about 15,000 sq. km, an area about the size of New Jersey. Much of the land is a cold desert and has many unique geological and geographic features which are an inspiration for any alien landscape.

You can learn more about the McMurdo Dry Valleys here. Enjoy!
